Who am I, why am I doing this?
I am a journaling, goal setting, self evaluating pole dancer, coach and personal trainer. I have been teaching pole since 2013, and in gyms since 2015. Im a personal trainer and a sports therapist (massage). This allows me to combine the science of targeted training from strength and conditioning, knowledge of bodies from both an anatomy and movement perspective, with my never ending love of pole training of all disciplines. Other quals, include Xperts Science of Heels and Bendy Kate’s Advanced Stretching Technique Instructor Training. I’ve spent years navigating and battling the toxic fitness industry. Loving the gym but hating its toxic motivations for so many people. I love a pole studio because it helps people shed a lot of the bullshit that comes with exercise. I wanted to create a chance to combine the power house of personal growth that is pole, with the mental and physical adaptations that come from a great, well intentioned exercise programme. One which schedules dance days and sexy sessions with rest days and leg days. One where your money supports small business owners, peoples passions and good causes. - Sarah |
This is not a new year, new me get abs in 6 weeks and splits in 12 days kinda programme. It won’t be an exercise routine on a PDF for you to guilt trip yourself into 4 times a week.
This can be super specific to your pole goals, or a more general gym programme. Head to the shop tab to see the options available. We can work together online, in the studio, or in the gym. (The Bar and Kettle, just 5 mins down the road from OtG) I’m not going to promise you’ll achieve that bird of paradise, but what I will promise is that you’ll gain a whole new understanding of your relationship with pole, movement, strength. You’ll know and understand how every exercise benefits you. You’ll know how to measure your progress, so you can ditch exercises that you hate which serve no purpose. Strengthening and developing muscular endurance to reduce injuries and help you move better. |
